I write and build documentation for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software, cloud computing products, and other complex technologies. CONVERGE Horizon Docs
User, admin, and reference guides | Information typing | 2022-present
I’ve designed and authored all content for the CONVERGE Horizon documentation site since its launch in 2022. In the early phase of product development, I collaborated with the lead developer to implement a docs-as-code workflow using Sphinx and Git. As the CONVERGE Horizon platform has matured, I’ve focused on structuring documentation according to user needs, with a clear separation of conceptual, task-based, and reference content.
CFD Manual Updates [Proprietary]

I frequently collaborate with research engineers to update user-facing documentation for CFD simulation software when physical models are added or upgraded. For example, the Eulerian-Lagrangian Spray Atomization (ELSA) model in CONVERGE, which is used for simulations of fuel injectors, was recently updated to support a wider range of case setups. My process for updating documentation included:
- Synthesizing information from research papers and internal technical documentation.
- Updating the mathematical description of the model in the CONVERGE Manual.
- Working with the lead engineer to confirm accuracy of new content and to incorporate reviewer feedback through multiple iterations.
- Providing usability feedback on simulation setup that contributed to a rewrite of YAML configuration files.
C API Documentation [Proprietary]
Tooling and workflow improvements | 2020-2024
I worked closely with software developers to continuously improve internal processes for documenting the C API that is used to integrate user-defined functions with CONVERGE. These efforts included:
- Creating a style guide for developers to follow when drafting Doxygen comment blocks for new API functions and data structures.
- Implementing Sphinx as a static site generator for API documentation, using the Breathe extension to convert Doxygen XML output into Sphinx format.
- Writing multiple Sphinx extensions (in Python) to customize HTML output.
- Integrating documentation review workflows into CI/CD pipelines.

I led a project to improve the licensing metadata taxonomy for enterprise electronic health record (EHR) software release notes, which involved:
- Collaborating with technical writers and support engineers across 20+ licensed products to identify shared software modules and overlapping functionality.
- Designing a “primary” and “secondary” ownership model to clarify product responsibility for implementation and support of each module and to reduce overlapping release note review assignments for enterprise customers.
- Working with subject matter experts to establish metadata tagging guidelines for more than 100 modules.
